Flotilla 17 often conducts our meetings and classes at the facilities of Coast Guard Station San Francisco. Here are directions to help you locate us.
Directions to Yerba Buena Island (Sector San Francisco/Station San Francisco)
From the Bay Bridge, take the Treasure Island exit. From the East of West this exit is always on the left hand lane.
Near the bottom of the hill, but before you get to Treasure Island, look for a right-hand turn onto Macalla Road. Take that turn.
Go up and over the hill (do NOT take the sharp right-hand turn that leads up to VTS, at the top of the hill). You will come back to the bridge.
Take a left turn, down the hill (note: there may be a flagman at this point).
Wind down the hill, through the new bridge construction, until you come to the gate onto the Coast Guard base.
Unless your vehicle has a Coast Guard windshield decal, have your driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance ready for the guard at the gate.
Note:there may be delays of up to 20 minutes because of the bridge construction, so leave plenty of extra time.
